Completed this year, the winning project overhauled five parking facilities for the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA). Richard N. Best Associates both designed the upgrades, and installed hardware from parking gates and automatic pay stations to sophisticated facility management software. Among other benefits, the overhaul has enabled SARAA to enhance and expand its customer loyalty program, a benefit for frequent parkers rarely seen at regional airports.
While maintaining a seamless customer experience at Harrisburg International Airport, Best upgraded the main parking garage, the long-term parking lot, the daily/employee lot, the administration lot and the ground transportation hub. Installation began October 25, 2011 and was completed on May 3, 2012. All parking facilities remained open to customers for the duration of the project.
Jeffrey Best thanked employees at Richard N. Best Associates for their roles in helping the company achieve the honor. “It truly took the efforts of all of us at the company to be able to successfully complete this project,” he said.
According to the PPA, the awards competition recognizes outstanding parking-related projects and “seeks to promote an appreciation of excellence in parking design, equipment, operations, and construction among the industry and the general public."
